Good choice of wines.Good information.Fast service.

I ordered two cases of wine and one arrived but the other did not. I contacted Ben who handles our orders and advised him that the tracking details just showed the package held at depot. He took me at my word and said that it was highly probable that the box had been damaged and the shipper was avoiding advising Laithwaite's. Ben advised a replacement case would be sent immediately - this has now arrived but unfortunately when opening the first bottle this too was damaged ( one out of twelve butthe damaged one had to be the first I opened ) so it is back onto Ben....

As Laitwaite's first timers, we went for a couple of mixed cases with three (stunning) Pilastro reds thrown in.Can't fault the ordering and delivery of 27 bottles, however a few in the selections have been, well, a bit supermarket bottom shelf (read headache juice). By contrast, the good stuff is really good. So, more consistency/quality would have got the 5th star.We just like wine and have no great knowledge, I'd say Avery's (for example) are bang on all the time when it comes to consistency/quality. Irony is, I think Laithwaite's now own them!Maybe Mimi could give Terry some tips ;+D

One case arrived without problem . The 2nd case ordered at the same time was not delivered on time as the driver couldn’t find my property.it seems incredible that the driver is unable to contact the customer. It cost an extra 60 miles to deliver and aggravation.

There was a wine substitution which previously I had specifically asked that in such an event I was contacted which Laithwaites failed to do. My file has now been annotated (again!)

Order got delayed, quickly resolution at first contact. As usual a wonderful collection to choose from.

On the 25th February one of your Wine Advisers placed an order for me. Unfortunately he got the order wrong. He corrected the order, but in doing so charged me twice for the same order. Despite numerous telephone calls to him, he could not resolve the problem but instead told me to email your customer accounts for them to sort this out. I have emailed customer accounts again on numerous occasions only for them to send me a Vat Receipt and then ask me to return the wine. It is one week later and still this problem has not been sorted out. This is the WORST customer service I have from any company. I now have doubts as to whether I will use Laithwaites again. My bank are going to sort out the problem tomorrow.

I am reluctant to give a poor review of Laithwaite's however on this occasion I was not happy. I took up an offer which included two free glasses that we particularly wanted. When the case arrived there was a 13th bottle of wine and no glasses. I discussed this twice with customer service staff and was told by one that at check out when I saw no glasses but the 13th wine I should have ''inferred'' that the wine was in lieu of the glasses. There was no hesitation to taking the wine back. Only just done so hope money will be refunded shortly. I imagine that Laithwaite's hope that most customers in these circumstances will keep the wine. So if you want something in particular be very careful if you are doing it on line and check the basket carefully. This incident is not deterring us from using Laithwaites because we like the wine...............................................................................I was contacted very quickly by Laithwaites after posting the above and the situation was resolved to my satisfaction. I have also been refunded for the returned wine.

I ordered 2 cases just before Christmas, one arrived promptly the other took nearly 2 weeks, which as I was going to give them as presents caused a problem. I have just received 2 cases end of January which should have had a free bonus bottle worth £17 with it. They ran out of the bonus bottle and didn't bother telling and after a very protracted chat on line I eventually got a £10 voucher which seemed to be given reluctantly. Products are good and prices ok but transport management and customer communication is rubbish!
